MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) has issued an alert regarding the novel coronavirus outbreak. Please take appropriate precautions and keep up to date with the latest information.

As of January 23, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ infectious disease warning for the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province, China has been raised to Level 2: ‘Avoid unnecessary and unurgent travel’. For those currently in the area please read: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notice for those resident or travelling to Wuhan (Japanese only) 

For staff and students planning to travel or study in areas of China other than Wuhan, please be aware of the possibility that the infection may continue to spread.
