Updated November 11, 2022.

If you feel unwell:

1. Please avoid coming to the university if you feel unwell (eg. if you have a cough, fever, sore throat, joint/muscle pain, diarrhea or experience overall fatigue/drowsiness, changes in sense of smell or taste). In this situation, you must contact the applicable Student Affairs Section (students) or applicable General Affairs Section (staff) in accordance with Kobe University’s system for reporting cold-like symptoms.

If you are a student and you feel unwell, please fill out the ‘Record of Cold-like Symptoms’ form available via the following URL:  https://kenshinweb.health.kobe-u.ac.jp/(You will need to log in using your KNOSSOS ID).

In addition, please take your temperature every day (more than twice a day, including in the morning and evening), and keep a record of both your temperature and symptoms. If your symptoms worsen, please go to a clinic/hospital.

You must avoid coming to university for the following periods:

  • 7 days counting from the day after your symptoms first appeared, and
  • 24 hours after you have stopped taking medicine and have no symptoms.

(For fever and tiredness, you must also wait for 24 hours after you stopped taking medicine (eg. cold medicine/fever medicine) and have no symptoms)

(For those clearly diagnosed with influenza (i.e. those who tested positive for influenza), please wait until at least 5 days after becoming ill and 2 days after your fever has passed).(updated November 11, 2022)

Once the above periods of time have elapsed, you may come to the university again.

Caution: However, for 10 days after you recover, continue practising strict infection prevention measures such as wearing a mask. Continue to monitor your health (by taking your temperature etc.), and avoid contact with high-risk persons (e.g. the elderly), high-risk places and eating out with others.

After returning to university please continue to wear a mask and monitor your temperature every morning. If you feel unwell again, refrain from coming to university.

If you think you need to go to the doctor’s, please call your local doctor’s clinic beforehand. Do not show up at a clinic without contacting them first.

If you don’t know which clinic to call, please contact Kobe City’s Novel Coronavirus Health Advice Hotline: 078-322-6250 (24 hours)
