On January 24, a two-part UnILiON event consisting of a Core Meeting and an Open Talk was held at the Kobe University Brussels European Centre (KUBEC).
This event is part of UnILiON (Universities Informal Liaison Offices Network)’s activities. UnILiON is a network of universities and research institutes that have liaison offices in Brussels. Most of the 37 participants who attended the KUBEC-hosted event were from member institutions.
KUBEC’s advisor Patrick Vittet-Philippe presided over the event and the opening address was given by YOSHIDA Ken-ichi (director of both KUBEC and the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships’ Europe & Africa Division). The event began with the Core Meeting, in which attendees discussed action policies and plans.
The second part of the event was the Open Talk. This talk was given by ICHIOKA Toshiyasu (director of RIKEN’s Europe office) and VUB Technology Transfer Office leaders on the topic of “Research infrastructures, Technology Transfer: EU-Japan Strategies for Research Valorization”.
Kobe University will continue to actively utilize KUBEC to further strengthen its ties with other universities and institutions in Europe.
