On June 23, the Kobe University Graduate School of Engineering and Nippon Shokubai presented the results of joint research between Nippon Shokubai and the Graduate School of Engineering endowed chair “Sustainable Chemistry” at the Office for Academic and Industrial Innovation Conference Room.
The endowed chair “Sustainable Chemistry” was established by Nippon Shokubai in July 2012 with the aim of creating new industries through practical studies of technology for renewable energy production and the use of renewable biomass resources.
The chair has developed a new process for creating resources from renewable biomass. Part of these results have been published in the journal ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering (American Chemical Society) and presented at the 253rd American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition.
